Baby Musical Toys Review #4:
Einstein Count and Compose Piano

Baby musical toys, besides providing fun and amusement to your kid, can also act as a tool for learning. As for today, many musical toys are also educational tools that introduce kids to basic knowledge such as numbers and alphabets.

Baby Einstein Count and Compose Piano is one of those baby musical toys that incorporate the element of learning and playing. At a glance it looks like a mini keyboard with colourful keys and a small flashy monitor which displays the music scores. Although this little keyboard can be easily mistaken for a real piano, it is actually a compact baby musical toy cum learning tool that combine auditory, visual and language development.

There are 3 playing modes featured by the Baby Einstein Count and Compose Piano. The first one is the Piano Mode, in which baby can choose to play piano, flute or xylophone sounds. The little monitor on top has flashing coloured lights that dance in time to classical melodies. The roller with colourful rattle beads on top of the Count and Compose Piano mimics a rolling snare drum. When babies play the piano keys on this musical toy, they not only hear the notes of the instrument selected, they also see the dancing lights on the screen.

The second playing mode is the Counting Mode. There are 3 languages available in this mode: English, Spanish or French. By pressing the keys, baby will hear numbers one through five in the selected language. Last but not least, there is the Composer Mode, in which baby is encouraged to conduct a symphony of sound with touch of their little hands. In this mode, baby can even compose up to 7 different melodies. By pressing the key, melodies and dancing lights are activated.

Perhaps the best selling point of Baby Einstein Count and Compose Piano is that it provides high stimulus and hours of fun and discovery to your babies. It has a funky and bright outlook, it is highly interactive, interesting enough to be able to hold the baby’s attention for quite a long span. This baby musical toy is suitable for tummy time and also for baby who are learning to sit up. It is the perfect size for babies from 3 months to 1 year old. Babies just adore it and love playing with it for hours and hours on end.

For parents, perhaps one of the plus points of this baby musical toy is its pleasant-hearing music. The sound is soothing to both babies and parents, and parents love it when they can actually control the volume of the music. The speaker is on the bottom of the baby musical toy so you can expect that the noise level would actually be quite low. However if you were to put this toy on a carpet during tummy time the music might muffled and might be too soft to be heard. So make sure you adjust the volume setting for your baby.

Parents also love the light weight of this baby musical toy. It can be easily brought to other places such as granny’s or babysitter’s place. Lastly, the price of this baby musical toy is reasonable and it definitely makes a perfect gift for your baby.
